BT over time, from 1954 to the present day


In Monza, in a territory firmly tied to the tradition of craftsmanship, the laboratory founded by Ambrogio Radaelli is born, who immediately collects the consent of those who appreciate the value of Italian craftsmanship.


A laboratory that has success requires transformations: No more just a workshop but a real shop in the heart of the city of Monza that specializes in solar shielding. Brianzatende takes life from here.


The settlement in the city, with the opening of a modern showroom and the acquisition of the land, is the forerunner of the industrial turning point, focused on the solar protection and direct by the son Aristide.


The internal foundry is constructed and the production area is expanded to 7,000 sqm. To respond to an increasingly broad market, consolidating the distribution network and strengthening the sales network.


BT Group participated in the Stuttgart R+T international trade fair. For the first time, redesigning its international role with a line of products and solutions whose keyword was Italian design in its most authentic expression.


The productive and commercial system give rise to international expansion, the Brianzatende leader in the sector in Italy aims to conquer the confidence of different European markets. In parallel, an integral process of restyling of property stores is launched.


From Brianza to the world. From Brianzatende to BT Group: The productive sector reaches 20,000 sqm, a direct consequence of the expansion of the range of products with integrated outdoor furniture solutions. The company renews its brand in conformity with the great strong credibility acquired.


BT Sud was set up with production  headquarters in Bari and the aim of creating a point of reference in the sun shade market for Southern Italy.


Expansion of the production division with the construction of new departments and the acquisition of new machinery. Investments resulted in a further 5,000 m2 of additional space to increase the production of bioclimatic pergolas. That year, the company had more than 160 employees.


BSpace, the Milanese flagship store, opened in the Brera Design District. This new showroom, the company’s sixth, is designed with the precise intention of giving the customer a hands-on experience of the product, allowing them to imagine it in their own home, and to assist design professionals in both private and contract sectors.


Complete restyling of the office area with a substantial structural expansion of levels and spaces. The logic behind this large-scale operation was management of the work area with a view to meeting contemporary challenges.
The headquarters in Lesmo now measure 41,000 m2.


At the height of the pandemic BT Group invested heavily in the acquisition of the former Mellin plant in Carnate, in order to fully transfer some stages in the production process.
This was to become the new storage shed for accessories and aluminium and the new futuristic, completely eco-friendly powder coating plant.


Another Brianzatende store was opened in a new commercial complex owned by
Brianzatende srl. This new store is in a big-impact area, strategically situated along a busy route.
The sales point in Cernusco Lombardone joined the many Brianzatende stores in this area: the headquarters in Lesmo and the stores in Monza, Giussano, Trezzano sul Naviglio, Almè and Garlate, as well as the innovative BSpace in Milan.


The birth of BT Iberica, expanding our Group’s presence in Spain and strengthening our company’s business model. The new company BT Iberica stemmed from collaboration between BT Group and TOLDOS Granada, one of Spain’s leading companies in the outdoor sector.


On the occasion of its 70th anniversary, BT Group inaugurates the new year with the opening of a new headquarters in Belgium for distribution in Belgium and Luxembourg.
